They just "sit right" on the pole, balanced and steady due mainly to
their low centre of gravity which minimises pole bounce and wobble.
...so ALL your feed gets to the right place.
Depending on how and where you are fishing usually determines the
position of the cup on the pole - if the conditions are very windy the
line will tend to loop over your tip - so about 156mm back form
the
PTFE
eliminates this problem.
If you are fishing up against reeds or an island, you can have the cup
right on the end - the choice is yours.
