Introduction

I haven’t fished Rolf’s for while and was really looking forward to it, as I haven’t been there for 10 long weeks!!!  I was even more happy when I drew peg 32, as it was an end peg as well.  However this match didn’t turn out the way I expected.

The match

I couldn’t believe how hard it fished, well the carp just didn’t seem want to feed.  With only one 12lb carp in the first 1 hour 15 mins, things weren’t looking good and therefore decided to fish chop worm with mirco pellet, which was a very postive more as I caught a couple of carp with them, but had about 25 skimmers (75lb) for a great days fishing.

The suggestions that I would make:

0.8 gram Jon Walker Diamond

0.198 main line

0.159 hooklength

14 gama pellet hook

Don’t cut you worms too finely, 1 – 2 inch pieces.

Use 1/2 kilo of worms to 1pt of fishery pellet mirco’s and 1/2 a tin of corn.

Feed a full toss pot to every fish
