PTFE
(polytetrafluoroethylene)
has the lowest
coefficient of friction
of any known
solid material at 0.04µk
which is similar to that
of sliding blocks of
wet ice.
Elastic,
especially high grade
latex formulations
have a very high
surface
resistance
So to achieve a balance
a high quality PTFE bush
must be used as the elastic leaves the pole tip,
this used in conjunction
with a water based
elastic
lubricant
will give smooth
judder free movement
of the elastic
while the fish is being retrieved.
The unique
180°
front end radius of
Vespe
SLIPPERY TIPS
is especially useful with
big fish that dive for
cover, under
your pole tip.
Tips should be
a tight "push fit"
onto the
pre-cut pole section.
